Our Corporate Stewardship is to use our resources as efficiently and effectively as possible. We have a responsibility to our associates, our customers, our vendors, our community and our environment in how we do business. We must be good stewards in all these areas that we touch each day. We have nurtured a culture of integrity and fairness that ensures win-win relationships. We must be accountable for our actions in all aspects of our relationships and business practices.

Associates – Our associates are the greatest asset to our organization. Aspen is committed to standards that provide a safe and healthy work environment for everyone. We are responsible for the development and education of all associates in their assigned job functions. New opportunities are offered and posted at all facilities for all associates to pursue. We encourage the promotion of individuals within the organization that allows them a variety of opportunities and a longterm career path. We empower and enable our associates to make decisions, challenge processes and recommend improvements. We work hard to be the Employer of Choice in our markets through competitive wages and benefits, opportunities, development and diversity of workforce.

Customers – Aspen has the responsibility of ensuring a financially stable company for our customers. A solid and experienced management team that understands the industry, our customer’s markets and supply chains is a required capability. We must provide succession and depth of human resources to ensure a sustainable service commitment. Consistent communication that allows a relationship to be open and trusting is the backbone to our service. Vendors – We must create an environment of fairness, professionalism and integrity. Our expectations in the relationship should be reasonable in service and costs. Service and responsiveness should be sustainable.

Community – Aspen must be a responsible company within our communities. We need to be a part of our communities and contribute to those communities through involvement, sharing of information and volunteerism. We must be sure that we are compliant with all legal and government requirements

Environment – Aspen must have a strong focus on our environment responsibilities. Areas of waste management, recycling, and energy efficiencies are all just starting points to topics that must be integrated and a part of our improvement lifestyle.
