Success Measurements
You can only claim success if you measure performance. At Aspen we measure everything. With our emphasis on continuous improvement, it’s important to know not only where you are but where you are going.
Metrics and KPI’s (key performance indicators) are developed jointly with customers to manage our customer’s expectations. Our operational scorecards also help us ensure we measure a mixture of variables to keep the healthy balance of performance. Our productivity metrics are engineered to specific procedures, building size, layouts, and equipment. As we adjust one of these areas, the engineered standard changes. The scorecards each year always reflect our Reach goals that support our lifestyle of continuous improvement.
However, you can’t measure data easily without having robust systems that provide analytical data. At Aspen our real-time systems (WMS, TMS, OVERVIEW) allows us the data bank of information to measure almost anything we want . . . and we do! Metrics are a critical tool for our management teams to gauge current performance. However, these metrics are just as important to identify action steps and milestones to get to where we want to be.
Each customer has their own ideas of what success is. With our systems flexibility, we can always measure those success factors. This data is provided to our customers as needed. Our scorecards show progressive performance throughout the year with metrics and graphs. This data can be provided via email or added to Aspen’s Customer Portals specifically created for each customer.
